About Luce

Luce is a speed-focused, Clutter-based image viewer for GNOME.

It is intended for dealing with directories containing a lot of large images, for rotating them or for deleting them if needed.

Luce’s primary goal is speed. My dream is that only the typematic rate will be the limit. I intend to achieve it by preloading images on different threads and resolutions.

I’m developing it for the fun of it, but also for doing something useful for someone else. I have experience in C language, but almost zero about gnome, glib, gettext, debian packaging, launchpad, anything! 🙂

I’m open for any suggestions, critiques, contributions, translations, insults… All of those appreciated! 🙂

Luce is the italian word for light.
